Demultiplexers decode a digital DMX512 signal into parallel accessible analog control voltages. There are various standards for analog voltage control; most entertainment industry applications use the 0…+10V control range. Don’t confuse this with 1-10V control (architectural units). This one uses active interfaces and is not compatible with 0-10V equipment.(there are separate decoder for 1-10V control). Having set the DMX start address, the demultiplexer will convert subsequent addresses to analog out.
